Project Overview

Project Location: Dubai, UAE (Gulf Cooperation Council High-Rise Apartment Compound)

Client Profile: Local property management company, responsible for 3 mid-rise residential buildings with total 486 apartments, serving expat & local Arab families

Product Deployed: Daegen 3G/GSM Wireless Building Door Intercom (max capacity 512 units, 2G/3G auto-switch cellular model)

Core Pain Points Before Upgrade

1. Traditional wired intercom required complex building wiring, high construction labor cost & long installation cycle, unsuitable for finished old residential buildings in Middle East

2. Residents often stay outside the compound for work, shopping or travel; fixed indoor monitors cannot remotely answer visitor calls or unlock gates

3. Property management lacked unified remote management tools; access passwords, IC cards and user info could only be modified on-site manually

4. Harsh local climate (high temperature, dust) required outdoor terminals with wide temperature tolerance & stable signal reception

5. Multiple family members need independent remote unlocking authority; single-phone linkage could not meet multi-person usage demands

Why Our 3G Wireless Intercom Was Selected

Fully adapted to Middle East residential operation habits & regional cellular network environment, matching all client requirements:

1. Quad-band GSM/UMTS cellular module: Supports 850/900/1800/1900MHz, fully compatible with UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait local telecom operators2G/3G networks; auto switch 2G/3G according to signal strength

2. Ultra-wide working temperature: -10~ +50, stable operation under intense summer heat in Gulf region

3. No complicated building wiring: Only DC12-15V power supply wiring needed, antenna & SD/SIM card internal layout simplified construction, cutting 60% installation labor hours

4. Multi-phone linkage per household: Each room number can bind up to 3 mobile numbers, automatic sequential call forwarding (30s ring timeout) perfect for Arab extended families with multiple adults

5. Full SMS remote management for admins: Modify user info, access codes, register/delete IC cards, check door status, set temporary passcodes without on-site operation

6. Multi-layer access control: Public unlock PIN (26 digits), personal 6-digit room PIN, RFID card unlock, remote phone unlock via pressing `*` during calls

7. Visitor photo capture & storage: All calling records saved on SD card, property can review visitor logs for security management

8. Scalable capacity: Adjustable resident quantity (50/160/260/512 apartments), fits small villa clusters to large apartment towers

 III. On-site Installation Practical Sharing

1. Installation Preparations

- Building Capacity Confirmation: This project adopts a full-capacity mode with 512 households. The equipment index ID range is 1-486, matching the total number of households;

- Supporting Materials: Outdoor host, DC12-15V power supply, suction cup SMA antenna, SD memory card, local operator GSM mobile phone card, access control IC card;

- Installation Dimension Verification

Overall machine dimensions: Length 380mm x Width 130mm x Thickness 56mm

Pre-installed wall box opening dimensions: Height 348mm, Depth 53mm,cavity in the wall during the construction phase.

Confirmation of the overall wiring diagram for the entire machine

Internal wiring schematic of the equipment

Includes antenna SMA interface, SD/SIM card slot, door magnetic lock wiring, speaker wiring, and power terminal wiring.

2. Hardware Fixing and Wiring Steps

1. Fix the pre-installed wall box onto the entrance wall of the unit, aligning with the dimensions of the holes specified in the drawing, and leaving room for the power line conduit;

2. Open the rear cover of the main unit, insert the local operator SIM card and the storage SD card;

3. Connect the 3-meter extension antenna cable to the antenna interface on the main board, and attach the suction cup antenna to a location on the exterior wall with good signal reception;

4. Connect the DC12-15V power supply to the power terminals, and connect the door lock and door magnetic sensor to the NO/NC terminals of the access control relay;

5. Embed the main unit into the wall box, tighten the fixing screws, and complete the assembly of the dust-proof shell.

3. On-site system parameter debugging (admin operation)

1. Power on the device and put it in standby mode. The screen will display the current GSM/3G network mode and signal strength (1-31 levels).

2. Enter the administrator menu: Press the function key Select [Settings] Enter the default 6-digit administrator password.

3. System basic parameter settings

- Call duration: Set to 2 minutes (can be adjusted from 1 to 3 minutes, suitable for local usage habits)

- Microphone volume: 4 levels; Speaker volume: 6 levels (suitable for outdoor noisy street environments)

- Device time calibration: Need to adjust to the local time zone of Dubai;

- Network mode: Automatically select, the device switches between 2G/3G/4G based on the strength of the cellular signal;

- Unlock password length: Uniformly set to 6 digits, convenient for residents to remember;

4. Enter the administrator number for entry: Enter the menu, enter the phone numbers of 3 property management staff, and receive door magnetic alarm and device feedback messages;

5. Batch entry of resident information (two efficient schemes for large communities)

Scheme one: Batch import through computer software

Extract the accompanying GSM editing software, run it once and save the file in the SD card's contact folder. Insert the card back into the device and it will automatically import all resident data.

Scheme two: Manually add/modify on the host panel

6. Batch registration of access cards

Enter [Access Management] - [Register Cards], swipe the card one by one, and the device emits two beeps indicating successful registration. It can batch record the resident access cards;

7. Configuration of temporary visitor passwords (for express delivery and temporary visitors)

4. Full Function Test Acceptance

1. Visitor Call Test

Press the room number + on the keyboard, and the host will automatically dial the three mobile phones bound to the resident; during the call, pressing * on the phone will remotely open the door; during the call, the visitor's photo will be automatically captured and saved to the SD card;

2. Various Opening Methods Test

- Private Password: Enter the room number + + 6-digit personal password to directly open the door;

- Public Password: Enter the unified 6-digit universal unlocking password directly;

- IC Card Swipe: Registered cards will open the door immediately when placed close to the reading area;

3. Administrator SMS Remote Control Test

Modify resident number

Add access card

Query door status

Set door lock delay

4. High Temperature Signal Stability Test

The device operates continuously for 72 hours in an outdoor high-temperature environment. The signal sensitivity is better than -108 dBm. There are no issues of missed incoming calls or failure of unlocking.

 Client Feedback & Project Benefits
